QUESTION: Can drinking wine hurt a cat?

ANSWER: Yes. The primary reason we don't want pets drinking alcohol is that their bodies aren't adjusted to it. And if they overindulge, they may lose their balance and fall from a counter or down stairs. Also, just a few sips for a cat or small dog may be equivalent to a single glass of wine for a person. There are no known studies on long-term use of alcohol by dogs or cats. However, pets - cats in particular - may be even more susceptible than people to renal and especially liver issues as a result of too much wine.

Grape Finale wines were awarded 32 medals, and Best of Show, Best Red Wine, and Best White Wine titles at the 2018 American Wine Society / New Jersey State Fair Wine Competition “The Garden State Wine Challenge.”

Best of Show and Best Red Wine Winner:
- Old Vine Zinfandel, 2016, made with grapes from the Sierra Foothills, CA

Best White Wine Winner:
- Naked Chardonnay, 2016, made with grapes from the Suisun Valley, CA

Double Gold Medal Winner:
- Pinot Noir, 2016, made with grapes from the Sierra Foothills, CA

Gold Medal Winners:
- Old Vine Zinfandel, 2016, made with grapes from the Sierra Foothills, CA
- Naked Chardonnay, 2016, made with grapes from the Suisun Valley, CA

Twenty-nine (29) other small batch red and white wines were awarded Silver and Bronze medals. Grape Finale wines have an impressive track record having earned a total of 129 medals and 7 titles since 2013.
