Wine Sense or Nonsense, May 9, 2017, 6:30 – 8 pm
Wine has been a popular beverage throughout human history. Ancient records and artifacts show people have been enjoying wine for at least 4,500 years. Today, women are the top demographic for the wine industry and about 3/4s of women will purchase wine at one point for their household. Unfortunately, wine is one of those commodities that, the more you know, the more you realize you don’t know.
Lisa van den Woldenberg, the Chief Winemaking Officer at Grape Finale Hands-On Winery works with the wine-consuming public on a daily basis. She not only helps wine lovers make quality wine that fits their tastes, but also works to dispel confusion surrounding wine. Join Lisa at the Pink Breast Center on May 9th from 6:30 – 8 pm. She will answer your wine questions and discuss wine topics including how to properly store bottled and open bottles of wine, how to serve wine, how to taste wine, what causes wine headaches, and tips for pairing food and wine. Admission is free, but space is limited. RSVP to (908)284-2300.
